Apricus Locanda is a
little boutique hotel at the food of the medieval village
Apricale. The rooms with views over the valley are light and
French doors open to the balconies where our guests can sit,
relax and enjoy the panorama.
We have bought the
house as a ruin in 2003. After a big reconstruction we
opened our doors for our guests in August 2004 and since
then we have welcomed a lot of regular guests from all over
The Latin word
ĎApricusí means exposed to the sun. And as our place is
facing South it is definitely ĎApricusí. And a locanda is a
little family runned hotel which officially canít have more
than 6 rooms. Apricus Locanda has 5 rooms all tastefully
decorated. We offer rooms and a rich breakfast buffet.
During cold days we serve breakfast in our breakfast room
with an open fireplace but most of the time our guests are
welcomed on the terrace.
Breakfast is a
little feast of fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh baked bread and
croissants, cheese and charcuterie. The honey and marmalades
are exclusively made for Apricus by friends in the village.
The honey from their bees is from an extra ordinary quality.
The artwork in
Apricus is mostly provided by Mrs. Daniele Noel, who is also
in charge of most of the art exhibitions in Castello della
Since we have bought
the house we expended the terraces and we have created a
garden. But the stunning view is the best of all, either
from your balcony or from the garden. A swimming pool should
be ready for the season of 2013.
