Walking
If you come to Apricale bring your walking boots. There are lots of nice walks for beginners as well as for advanced hikers. We will provide the walking maps. There is also a professional guide, Diego Rossi who will take you on a half or a whole day hike. Please visit his website www.crestediconfine.com for more information.
An easy, nice walk is the one around Apricale. It takes about 1,5 hrs. and you have beautiful views on the village. The whole circle is about 7 km. By taking some shortcuts you can end up in the main square of the village. You can start this walk from bar ‘Tarocchi’ and walk up the street or begin the circle from the other direction by starting at therestaurant ‘La Favorita’.
From our balconies and garden you have a view at the village Perinaldo. There is a path from Apricale (300 m a.s.l.). to Perinaldo (700 m a.s.l.). The walk takes about 1,5 hrs. and you have fantastic views of Apricale from above. Most of our guests start the walk in the morning, have a lunch in Perinaldo and walk back into the village. From the centre of Perinaldo you have a stunning view over the valley towards the sea.
On the way towards Pigna you can take the road (left turn) to Gouta. That is a more mountainous area and there is some serious hiking to do.
Golf
The nearest 18-hole golf resort is in Sanremo, the ‘Circolo Golf degli Ulive Sanremo. For further information please visit www.golfsanremo.com.
Over the French border there are golf resorts at Monte Carlo, Biot, Mougins etc.

Tennis
If you would like to play on a real ATP Masters tennis court you could buy a day ticket at the Monte Carlo Country Club. (Good restaurant, a swimming pool, squash court and fitness centre too).
Cycling
To cycle in the hills around Apricale you have to be a trained cyclist. However there is a nice and easy cycle path along the coast from Ospedaletti to San Lorenzo al mare. There are few places on that track where you can rent bicycles.
Swimming - Sea
The nearest beach is about 13 km. from Apricale. The beach of Camporosso al Mare is a family beach where you can rent daybeds or just lay on your towel. A few nice bars and restaurants are on the beach. One of our favourites is Billabong.
Swimming - Fresh Water
If you prefer to swim in sweet water please go to the river in the nearby village of Rochetta Nervia. Clean water, waterfalls, rock pools and nature….. it is just paradise!! Very refreshing on a hot summer day.
